A few days ago, a girl started posting AI-generated videos based on my story Intense Collision. She aka Aylin_ editt uploaded nearly 19 videos using my content. When I confronted her, she created unnecessary drama before finally deleting those videos.
Now, after some time, she has started uploading the same videos on YouTube. To make sure I wouldn't know about it, she even blocked me on Instagram.
What disappoints me even more is the readers supporting her.
I have a question for those readers: when an author makes even a small mistake, many of you criticize them, judge them, and make it a huge issue. But when someone takes an author's hard work, turns it into AI videos without permission, and posts it for views, you have no problem supporting them.
Is this what readers do?
Every chapter I write takes hours of planning, writing, editing, and effort. Someone else simply copies that work, feeds it into AI, and gets appreciation for it. If you truly respect authors, then support the original creator, not people who profit from someone else's work.
I have already submitted a copyright complaint to YouTube. Now I'm waiting for their decision.
