I'm changing the point of view to make it easier on me. Writing in first person is like putting yourself in your character’s shoes. It helps you get to know them better. You get more emotion when writing in first person. Writing in third person is much harder bc it feels like you're writing a story and not someone's life. If you know what I mean. Just try writing in first person and see how easy the words form your character. I've gotten to know Jetfire and Slipstream more when writing in first than in third. It's just something to think about.

So I’ve been talking with one of my friends, who is an amazing writer and author, and she told me that the Snowflake Method has helped her a lot with plot holes and characters. I looked it up on Google and it is super cool and super fun to do. I did it for some of the TF,TS and I loved it. I highly suggest trying the Snowflake Method if you’re having problems with your story or if you're just bored. Hope this helps!

I figured it out...

Most boys only like the Transformer toys, the older and sometimes the newer TV shows, the older characters, and the lore.

Most girls only like the newer Transformer characters and sometimes lore. That's it.

I guess I am a boy stereotype. Oh well! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I feel like people are ruining Transformers: Prime by adding their own characters into the show and it will drive me nuts!

I noticed the authors force their characters to say several OG character’s lines, making it real annoying and awkward.
They also make their character’s backstory be like “mom or dad died for me” or “my parents left me bc they hate me” or “I have a dark secret”, it’s an extremely weak backstory.
Also, they’re either “emotion-less”, “unintentionally over-powered” or “wanting to be normal, but isn't” or “perfect, but not really” and are “related” to either Megatron, Optimus, Soundwave, or freaking Primus, it's so unoriginal and boring.

Get creative. Strive to be original and unique. Don't copy other’s storyline and plots. Learn their writing style and incorporate it into your writing, not their characters.

Phenix_Birb

@AutobotFan I can relate a lot. Either inserted Ocs are cold and heard to sympathize with, or they are freaking overpowered Mary Sues. I used to walk in that area with my Ocs, but now I've found out how to avoid those and add a very lovable goofy Oc that does not ruin the show or story, but plays a big part sometimes. Not all Oc inserts into Transformers Prime are bad, you just need to find the good ones. Sometimes people even make a whole huge lore just for their oc that fits really well into the show. And the "relative" thing does kinda get a little old. I prefer Adoption, and the characters having to get used to each other, and learn about one another to grow in their bonds.

People should understand that if someone says something that doesn't fall in line with your beliefs, they should NOT be silenced. Instead, people should debate about it respectfully and see the opposite side of the story, not randomly banning them from Twitter because they said they voted for Trump or because they believe in Jesus or any other reason.

It is NOT right and must be changed!

Phenix_Birb

@AutobotFan I fully agree, nowadays I feel like if your opinion is not the same as another person's they will automatically hate you and try to make others hate you for it. Leading to some people being absolutely silent about their beliefs in fear of what others might think of them. It's awful.

“Heros are forged through darkness.” –The Watcher

Good character development is nessasary for your readers to love your characters. If you didn't have it, your character will be boring and unrealistic. Like Rey Palpatine/Skywalker/Solo/Whatever

Character development is found through time, darkness, and mistakes that the character goes through in the story.

Think about some characters who have gone through character development and see if that will help you find the development you want/need.

          Through time? Luke Skywalker.
          Through darkness? Harry Potter.
          Through mistakes? Tony Stark.
          All three? Ahsoka Tano.

There are many ways character development can happen; it doesn't always have to be the main three. So what are you going to choose?

In honor of 500 reads, I bestow upon you an updated version of chapter 1! The chapter has at least 7000 words, so I split it into two parts!

Again, I want to thank you for this milestone! It would have never happened if you weren't here! Thank you!

An updated version of chapter two is on the way!
