Title: "Amidst The Storm"
Let's imagine kabuto yakushi, one his way back from a mission finds a teashop and decide to...linger a while then meet a fairly ordinary waitress.
And that waitress, unexpectedly, becomes his one place where he could sit in silence in the midst of his stormy life.
However, deep down that feeling of 'I don't deserve this' whispers everytime he looks at her.
And so, he destroys... whatever that had blossomed between them because...'He's too tainted for something so pure'.
Hurts her with cruel words and leaves her crying.
'it's for the best' he thinks.
And then when he returns to the darkness if otogakure, he finds himself constantly remembering her... every moment, every cup of tea served, every skewer of dango.
He becomes haunted by the memories of the woman he'd tried to leave.
(This story is mostly Kabuto's flashbacks as 'TRIES' to go about his day and her memory flooda his mind with each breath he takes.)
