Dear Autumn,
I am really enjoying reading The Impaler’s Wife. In truth, I found this story by accident while exploring Pinterest for the art of Vlad Tepes (who I ironically learned about after reading into inspiration for Count Dracula). But now after reading this beautiful book that you have written, you made me wish to explore the era upon which you describe so deeply in every chapter. As a history nerd, this fuels my drive to explore something new.
The 14th-century world has such deep and beautiful struggles of humanity need to survive. I myself am in wonder of the reliance of Iona (probably spelt that wrong) against the way society wishes for her to act. Vlad is ever entrancing with every word he speaks and inspired by the way he is able to survive the horrors that befell him. I only hope this story has a happy ending for both of them.
As a writer just starting out, this book inspires me to keep writing my stories and hope my words inspire you as well. Keep writing, Autumn and have a wonderful time doing so.
From a friend in Canada,
Emily
