Until I find the time to write and post the next chapter of "Falling for the Forbidden", I thought I’d share a scene from "Shadows of the Heart" this time.

          ***"What are you doing up so early?" I asked, shifting my focus back to the falling snow.
          "Oh, you won't believe this," she said, sarcasm dripping from every word. "But I was woken up at three in the morning by some man who stumbled into my bed. And then, after I barely managed to fall asleep, he woke me up again."
          I exhaled sharply, closing my eyes for a second.
          At least she was sarcastic about it. I hadn't seen that side of her before, but I had to admit—it suited her in a way I hadn't expected.
          "I already apologized," I said, shaking my head, my patience wearing thin. "And I told you it won't happen again, okay?"
          She exhaled heavily, as if deciding whether or not to push further. "Don't worry," she said finally. "And maybe you wouldn't believe it, but I do know how it feels to get that drunk."
          I let out a short, amused breath, tilting my head slightly. "Is that so? What happened? You had two glasses of wine back to back?" But before I could say anything else, something cold and wet smacked me in the side of the head.
          For a second, I just stood there, completely still, as the icy sensation slid down my neck and sent a chill through my entire body.
          Slowly, deliberately, I turned around.
          Agata was crouched slightly, her hands still buried in the snow, wide brown eyes filled with faux innocence. But the slight twitch at the corner of her mouth gave her away. She was barely containing her laughter, and for the first time in a long while, she looked completely at ease.
          I narrowed my eyes, my voice dropping into a low, deliberate warning. "You just didn't do that, Agata."
          She tilted her head slightly, biting back a grin. "Oh, I think I did."***

I know I haven’t posted in a while, but I genuinely haven’t had the proper time to sit down and write.
          However, I’ve still been thinking a lot about the story and came up with some new ideas for how Katya and Aidan’s journey should continue. 
          I’m really hoping I’ll find a few hours this weekend to finally write because I miss it so much.
