That aside, I'm currently debating on cutting my chapters short for CATSD (Cinderella and the Seven Dwarves). I just realized each chapter is too long T_T
I've written each chapter with no less than 3k words and I think a more moderate amount of words per chapter (about 1.5k) would be better to keep readers engaged? I think, from a reader's perspective, reading a very long chapter could be boring as it lessens the tension because a lot is already fleshed out in front of them.
What do y'all think? I need some advice, please!
yep! I've just split them all in half. Thank you for the advice cause now I know I did the right decision.
@AvyYve I think it'd be better to cut them in half, therefore you can keep a reader engaged by strategically dividing the chapters at cliff hangers. It's impressive you are able to write that much, even 2000 words is a achievement to me (though I'm a certified procrastinator).
