So me and my friends were having this conversation and I just wanted to share this thing I wrote during for that conversation. Honestly, better than any book/story I've ever written.
Imagine this: it's 3020 and historians are trying to figure out what on Earth happened 1000 years ago. They stumble upon an old phone that somehow still miraculously works, and they manage to hack into it. Wearing gloves as to not get the phone damaged in anyway, they find an old ancient app named tik tok. So they open it and scroll through all of the tik toks that depict what happened during quarantine. They're ecstatic! They had finally found historically accurate content. So they save every single tik tok they can and move onto other apps.
Up next is Reddit. They had heard only whispers of this ancient app. It was said that the greatest memes came from it. So, they open it. They chuckle at the first few posts they see but then they accidentally delve into the dead memes sub Reddit. PPAP, Do You Know Da Wae?, Omae Wa Mou Shindeiroi, Karen. They think, "is this what our ancestors were up to?"
They pray to whatever deity they believe in and hope that whatever they open next is safe. Unfortunately, they open Wattpad.
First they think, "hey this is alright, there is a God." But then they find the questionable things. The things even God theirself thought shouldn't have existed. The Bakuneta, Furries, weird AUs.
They turn the phone off, put it back in it's place and hope that in another one thousand years, their descendants will be prepared.
