          my younger sister just revealed to me the secret to why Mirabel doesn't have a gift. It's all because she rubbed her hands on her dress. Nobody else in her family rubbed their hands against their clothes, so Mirabel rubbed off the magic of the candle and never got a gift- *mind blown*
          
          that is word for words what my 8 YEAR OLD sister said to me and I sat there silently finding this to make sense...
