I literally never send these because sometimes they get annoying, but when did all of us writers just agree that main characters need some kind of trauma or loss that gives them dimension and realism? Are our lives so molecularly fucked up and crazy that we came to a consensus to make these fictional people the same way? Do we all just have awful pent-up feelings inside of us that we willingly feed until they explode and overflow like these characters do, then we get the thoughts and emotions out by writing them down as a person with trauma? Why is this such a big thing in the fanfiction community, and what was the small tap of a finger that sent the dominoes crashing down? Why is it that in every (Y/n) fic she/he/they always have/has a horrible parental figure or NO parental figures??? WHYYYYY!?!?!????

Just a few things on my mind before I eat dinner and then yell at some sixth graders ☺️. Love y’all, eat some food, drink some water, and get some sleep because you need it and you definitely deserve it.

Well yeah, it’s fun to know there’s no many negative consequences because they don’t exist, but WHERE DID IT COME FROM?????

1) its fun to torture them
          	  2) it makes the story more interesting and invests the reader
          	  3) idk I don’t make the rules

usually I don’t give my characters too much of a traumatic life but sometimes I like the drama
