I feel like yapping so imma yap—I notice a lot of guys look up to characters but never for the personality, only for the body. Like cmon bro… there’s a reason it’s just not working out.

Toji, for example, was REALLY popular, and likely still is, for men. As much of a bum as he is post first wife death, the fact that he HAD a wife he CLEARLY loved dearly to the point where he stopped working as a hitman should say a lot about the type of person he is.

It’s clear he put an effort to put his previous life on hold to live one much more fulfilling (only to get f-ed over by Gege Akutami, thus leading to his spiral and incapability of giving proper care to Megumi without an example. The example being his wife. Thus, the reason he sold Megumi is because he knew Megumi would live a better life there than he did.)

However, I only noticed people admiring ONLY his physique and capabilities instead of wondering how he got to the point where he was.

It’s clear that Toji doesn’t hate women, he clearly treats them better than men, which Kong pointed out at some point if I’m remembering correctly.

And Toji is the worst example yet because we only know him during his worst, not his best. I’m sure there are many male characters or leads that men look up to that are actually good people but they just refuse to dive into a character enough to see them beyond superficiality.

They see pride and confidence but don’t know bother knowing what the lines between really suggests.

Himmel is the only exception, but not a lot of guys are fantasizing about Himmel as they do Toji or Gojo (who I MUST RANT ABOUT BECAUSE PEOPLE MISCONSTRUE HIM A LOT, EVEN WOMEN.)

Like cmon, TOJI TOOK AND STAYED WITH HIS FIRST WIFE’S LAST NAME.

But I digress. Toji, despite his questionable morals and actions AT HIS WORST, still had a compass in there and was capable of wanting better for others, even in his own messed up way.

He was capable of building something when things were at its best. The type of guys that look up to him most of the time only appreciate him at his worst because of his “aura” or wtv. These are the same type of guys that will drag everyone around them into their own depressive state of hatred and insecurity.

Men really are their own worst enemy.

People wonder why the male loneliness epidemic is at an all time large. It’s because men don’t want to see women as equals a lot of the time, and now that women can choose men for means beyond survival, women aren’t choosing them.

I hate being the type of person who talks about guys but…

Y’all, by the time I find I boyfriend, I’m gonna be rolling in the grave. Skin n bones type </3

          Turning TO A SKELETON.

Like bro I work on myself a lot emotionally and shit and I’m not even bad to look at WHY CANT I FIND SOMEONE WHO I LIKE (looks and personality wise) THAT WANTS LONG TERM. All the guys that approach me are so obviously not serious it hurts (´༎ຶོρ༎ຶོ`)

Men need to evolve as a species atp because I’m not lowering my standards.

I love being basically anonymous because I can complain abt this as much as I want (*'▽'*)

Time to plan my future as a dog lady.

@Belamora_14 they need to work on their personalities and ideologies because it’s just disappointing every time

And honestly, I BARELY had any bad experiences with men because of how picky I am, but they just didn’t hit right. A lot of them treat me to food and flowers n stuff but I feel like something is just not clicking mentally and biologically ( ´△`)

Like I felt like one was lowk infantilizing me because he pulled that “you’re just a girl” shi on me like… dont pmo…

@Aza4Aza As I read from a facebook group of artist, they from time to time are bombarded with this kind of mssgs. Those are bots or ppl who want to take your money. They usually drop links to their IG and the accounts are full of ai and directly stolen art. Be careful, please

Im curious on your guys’ thoughts/opinions on other fanfics outside of mine, though I was considering reading some on my free time, but I feel like none capture a feeling I like or are too goonesque (yes I made a new word) and unrealistic.

I mean, I know that the characters are characters, but treating them like they have their own cognition and ambition is part of the fun.

Aza4Aza

@Suprise_Shawtty glad to see im not the only one. I can withstand the gooners because they are funny at times, and i do have tolerance for it, but maybe I’m just not hormonal enough. I think writing stories ourselves is the best way to go about it.

I think I enjoy writing more than reading tbh

@Aza4Aza see most of the fanfiction nowadays are targeting certain audiences (gooners) you aren't wrong for viewing them as slop cus same. I am sick and tired of seeing Jjk characters treated in such a way. Some are good like yours but not most, I am also writing my own fanfiction cus I can't find any sort of entertainment in reading them nowadays

Like I lost interest in fanfic reading and kind of view some as slop..? At a certain point, I kind of saw my own in that way, but that’s because I am hard on myself, and perhaps others as well. My only interest became writing because I know what I like.

Funnily enough, I don’t read fanfics anymore.

I read textbooks and get too burnt out to read so I write instead. Btw I should be reading rn but I REALLY DONT WANT TO GET ME OUT OF THIS INSTITUTION PLEASE (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)

So at the end of my most recent chapter, I added a poll as to whether I should separate the next arc into a different book. Why?

Well 1) the book we have currently is already inflated enough with the old experiences.

          2) think of it as a season 2 for you. Mc is a changed person thanks to the experiences, I want to emphasize on that.

          3) fresh start because scrolling all the way down is getting annoying for drafting :(

Aza4Aza

Im doing it anyways so you had no choice in the matter :)
Responder

I also think that the title just doesn’t capture the most recent changes I have made in the book, but I don’t want to change the title of the old book because it may confuse readers who haven’t saved it.

I think using chapters 31 + to start it off as a prologue would make sense context wise as well.
