Here's a question I want some input in: Do you find surge actually good from the story or did it rely on fanservice by bringing back the older legends

@Azurefox575 That's true, I honestly didn't like that, especially how they build up an arc for Hyuga then toss it to the side

@AmeryllisFlower I mean, it might just be my opinion, but it relied too much on the legends of previous seasons to be a good series on it's own. I felt S3 would've been good even without Free and Shu, but s5 rellly did nothing on it's own and relied on older vierws returning caue of Shu''s redeye cameo kinda situation. Hikaru and Hyuga on there own and even LANE were cast to the sidelines were woefully underdevelopped and the story wasn't as exciting. The concept of double battles were good and flares are peak, I'll give the series that.

@Azurefox575 The good parts is the first part and elements from the second with build up, fanservice is stuff like Shu and Lane beating Free and Silas to likely appease Shu fans while ignoring the build up to Free's goal of beating Shu. Also other fanservice elements I can't remember
