@Azurefox575 ships that are also platonic along with platonic chemistry need to be more normalized. On my life, I once saw an online comment saying Luz and Hunter should've been a couple. Like, Luz and Hunter are the definition of platonic. They're practically siblings!

I want yalls opinion on this take...
          
          Do you think the reason/part of the reason the beyblade anime stopped making more obtrusive/morally grey/nuanced charachters after s3 because of all the backlash Aiger got?
          
          So they went "Ok he's getting hate and its damaging sales, I think we need another valt-like protagonist"
          
          Even though they didnt have the screen time to facilitate an 'underdog' protaginist with good pacing, because the aim WAS TO MAKE IT PROFITABLE, not write good charachters, so the second the fandom started to hate on him they realised it might not be worth the time, so even the "more nuanced" charachters (ie: gwyn) are extremely "safe" types of nuanced.
          
          Not to mention covid when Rise came out so a simpler story was the best move
          
          And when Rise got backlash for hot being as "mature /nuanced", the nuance they brought back was Shu, again, a fan favourite, and the nuance was, again, a safe kind, especially since there was already so much fanservice with all thelegendary bladers and the referance to the most loved season of the franchise (s2) when they gave him a red eye cameo thingy to appeal to older viewers who grew up withthe show instead of new, younger viewers

@Azurefox575 Also, I feel like for a lot of them, the writers had issues with consistency which would make writing nuanced characters harder. One example we all saw was the difference between QD and QS with Bel's character. The Bel in QD would've never stopped cheering for Ranzo in the middle of the match and start cheering for someone he's only been friends with for a few weeks. And before you bring up him doing it with Phelix vs Rashad, that's because he'd only been friends with Phelix for a few days at that point and he wasn't friends with Rashad at all.

Headcannon: Ranzo is from Brazil, but it was a village/small town near Puerto Iguazu, so it had a large Paraguay and Argentinian heratige / population, and so he grew up learning both Portugese and Argentinian Spanish.
          
          He always found Spanish easier to learn though, so he typically defaults to it.
