            great . just what he needed . extras pestering him just as   he was    about

            “ you’re . going . soft . ” repeated
            the female , a short stop in between
            each of her words to emphasize the fact
            that she would say whatever she wanted ,
            whether it was to bakugo or anyone
            else . her red hair bounced as she took
            a step forward . if it wasn’t for the curves 
            of her rather athletic body , it would
            be pretty hard to tell that emiko was 
            a girl . she had this natural fight to her ,
            a fiery temper that only came out when
            she was protecting someone she cared
            about . 
            
            usually she was sweet and friendly , 
            cracking jokes and acting like one
            of the guys . she was nice to everyone ,
            was always there to be an ear or
            lend a hand to someone who needed it .
            
            emiko looked up at bakugo , her irises
            glistening with a playful tease as she 
            poked one of her fingers against his 
            chest , those shark - like teeth of 
            hers curving into her signature grin 
            as she looked at him . despite his feelings ,
            emiko was quite oblivious to how he
            actually saw her . she always felt like
            he really didn’t like her — like he somehow
            felt bad so he hung out with her because
            he had to .

            ' well you've said it now . ' he turned away to disguise the faint tint that had spread over his cheeks like a damned disease . the image of the proximity of her to him just moments ago came racing back to him . her words had droned into the background and his entire world focused on that face . the same fucking face that filled his every waking moment . the way her nose curved and pointed ever - so slightly , the way her lips parted whilst she was deep in thought , the tinkle of her laugh . 
            
            she was inside him like poison and he was afraid of being poisoned fatally . 
            She was right , he was going soft . soft for her , soft because of her too soft . he knew he had to change that but every time he laid eyes on her he remembered all the reason he loved her . he loved emiko and that scared him . he hated feeling vulnerable .  though he would never admit it and so he hid behind a mask of constant irritated indifference , like now . 
            
            ' I'M NOT SOFT KIRI - SHIT - MA . SAY THAT AGAIN , I DARE YA . ' 
            
            there , just like he always did .  his secret was safe .

            the shorter female stood in a
            rather girly position, something 
            uncommon for her. usually she
            could be found acting as boyish as 
            possible, hanging out with the guys 
            and cracking jokes that girls would 
            find to be utterly disgusting. 
            but occasionally she could show 
            her feminine side. 
            she had her arms folded behind her 
            back, leaning forward, with that 
            big, goofy shark-toothed grin on
            her face. she wasn’t phased by
            bakugo’s curt greeting or the 
            daggers that he stared into her
            soul. 
            
            “ i just wanted to say heya, ” she
            mused, raising an eyebrow. she 
            could tell he was softer around her,
            something she appreciated. 
            “ bakugo ... you’re goin’ soft, ”
            she teased, laughing heartily.

            bakugo had walked home on his own today , which was very unusual for him . truth be told he needed some all time to focus on everything that was bothering him ,  so when he saw his classmate he turned away to avoid a conversation he didn't what . todoroki's voice followed after him he inwardly cursed . just great . his expression twisted in his usual irritated scowl as he fixed the stoic boy with a look capable of melting bones .
