 #NovelNovember begins (RIP NaNoWriMo) and I’ve gone with a collection of short stories for this challenge. The first of four is up now!

Finally marked both Return to the Nine Kingdoms and Lingua Aeterna as Complete! Took a while to get them finished/partially edited, but it feels good to have something complete 

I finally realized I should put [to be continued] at the end of an on-going chapter, duh! If you’re reading along as I free-write this new story, I’ll try to remember to do that, just as an indicator that the chapter still has some story to tell. I’m always developing new strategies/techniques, so I hope this is helpful :-)

New story up! I haven’t totally abandoned my other works, but I do get so excited to start something new that the other stories get pushed further and further onto the back burners. I will concentrate less on writing one chapter a day during NaNoWriMo like I did with my previous stories and try to flesh out what I’ve already worked on. I’ve already made new updates to Chapter 1, so check it out and let me know what you think of it so far!

Whew! It’s been a while but I finally got another (restructuring) chapter done. It’s my longest one yet—clocks in at 9500 words…oops! The amount of editing that I’ll need to do when this is done…ugh!

Decided to do some restructuring and I’m adding a new POV to part III. I’ll probably add at least one more chapter before I get back to the part of the story I was working on, but I think it adds a little more depth to the story. Complicates things with yet another POV/Storyline, but it’s all about the depth!

Here’s the last line of the most recent chapter I completed: “and their task seemed no closer to being finished.”
          Hmm…sounds familiar. I didn’t really mean to have my art imitate my current life, but I thought it was a good line, haha. I remember a few weeks ago when I was like, “oh yeah, I’ll have this thing done in the next few days!” Yeah…yeah right.

I’ll admit…I’ve got story fatigue! I’ve been working on this for three months now and while I’ve gotten some kind of word count done each day, it’s starting to feel like I’m slogging through. ***Just keep swimming, just keep swimming***

Writing anything of substance over the holidays is hard! But I got something done, at least. Every time I think I might be going into the downward swing on this, I think of another plot point I want to include—this is my first fanfiction attempt but I feel like it’s getting WAY too long. Then again, I’m having fun creating the story, so…who cares how long it is! Hopefully anybody reading along with it isn’t too annoyed, lol

Last chapter of Part II! Took a while to get this one done and it is a bit longer than I’d like—maybe I’ll edit it down or split it up in editing. But I’m onto Part III tomorrow and ready to finish this story up!
