BLGrace11

Grace, is now 13 years old. We never thought she would make it this long, as she tore both her rear ACLs before she was two. But through medications, supplements (eg. green mussel extract from New Zealand), and exercise we were able to rehabilitate her so she had a pretty good life. However, the trauma did lead to early onset arthritis in both her rear end and her front (cause she compensated so much and overused her front legs). So despite our best efforts, she is pretty lame without a lot a medications for pain and swelling (yes we are CBD oil believers). However in May she was hit by a slow moving vehicle in the driveway, and broke her pelvis. We have tried our best to see her through healing, but she has just not got her back end mobility to the point where she can get up and down stairs, or often get up. And it is so painful for her to lie down. If we lived somewhere without stairs and winter, perhaps we could justify keeping her going. But at this point, it is only the sparkle in her eyes that keeps me from making that final decision for her. Passages are always so hard. Especially as we had to say goodbye to her sister in November of last year.

I am just to grateful that Grace has been in our lives. She was my daughter's unofficial therapy dog (we could not get her certified due to her physical disability) for many years.

So if one day you see that BLGrace11 has changed her profile and name, it will just be because this may be too painful to use every day.

Hey Grace! I'm your fellow Ambassador and it's so great to talk to you. Hope you've been well? I wanted to drop by and thank you for being so supportive to everyone on Wattpad!

And on that altruistic note, would you be willing to help me with my academic research survey? I need diverse opinions on the Representation of the Indian Queer community on Wattpad and I'm sure your voice will add incredible value to my research. Or if you know anyone who might be interested in helping, that would be great as well.

It'll only take 5-7 minutes to complete the survey.

Your responses are completely confidential and won't be shared with anyone. Your consent is critical as well.
