When my grade 10 teacher read Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice to us in class my life was changed. I devoured all of Austen's books, reading and re-reading them, and then I discovered Georgette Heyer. Suddenly a whole new world of characters lay before me to discover and enjoy! By scouring secondhand bookshops, over the years I have collected copies of almost every single published Georgette Heyer book, including the rare ones and the mysteries. I have read them all multiple times and they have brought me great joy.

The only thing I wished was that there were more kissing scenes! And a steamy sex scene or two, well yeah, that would be great too!

I decided to try my hand at writing the kind of Georgette Heyer/Jane Austen that I would like to read. All the regency romance, but more steamy love scenes. Why not?
