Dearest Readers,
          
          I know it has been a while since my last update, and I owe you all a massive, heartfelt apology for the radio silence. I miss you, I miss these characters, and I miss the world we’ve built together here.
          
          I want to be completely transparent with you about why I haven't been able to update as frequently as I used to. Right now, I am in the middle of a deeply overwhelming season of life. I am currently juggling four incredibly intense, five-week summer classes. On top of that heavy coursework, I am working a full-time job and pulling overtime six days a week, all while navigating my most important and demanding role: being a full-time mother.
          
          Between the textbooks, the exhausting shifts, and making sure my family has everything they need, my days are stretched to the absolute limit. By the time I finally get a moment to sit down at the end of the day, my brain is completely drained of its creative juice. Writing this story has always been my escape, my passion, and my safe space. It breaks my heart that I haven't had the time or the physical energy to sit at my keyboard and bring the next chapter to life for you.
          
          Please know that I have not abandoned these stories. The plots are still spinning in my head during my commutes, and I have every intention of seeing them through to the end. I just need a little bit of grace to survive this chaotic, exhausting period. Once these summer classes wrap up and my schedule opens even a fraction of an inch, I will be right back here writing.
          
          Thank you, from the absolute bottom of my heart, for your endless patience. Thank you for the supportive comments, for rereading the old chapters, and for sticking by me even when life gets in the way. Your support means more to me than words can express, and it is the exact motivation I need to keep pushing forward.
          
          I promise the next few chapters will be worth the wait.

          After taking some time to reread the first few posted chapters of What The Fire Left Behind, I realized they just aren't sitting right with me. I want to ensure I'm delivering the best possible version of this story to you all, so I will be temporarily unpublishing the book to rewrite and polish those opening chapters.
          
          I wanted to give you a heads-up so you can dive back in and read the new versions once they are live! As always, I value your thoughts and would love for you to share your honest feedback with me—I simply ask that your critiques remain respectful.
          
          For those who are new to my work, one thing you should know about me is that I am a firm believer in returning the energy I receive. I give what I am given, and I mirror what I see—so let's keep our interactions constructive and kind!

          Hey everyone,
          
          I’ve been reading through the comments on the recent chapters, and I want to take a moment to address some of the intense discussion surrounding the themes of infidelity in this story.
          First, let me be entirely clear: **this book does not support, glorify, or condone cheating.** Cheating is incredibly painful and destructive, and I completely understand why it triggers such a strong reaction from readers.
          
          However, writing about a flawed choice isn't the same as endorsing it. As a writer, I am deeply fascinated by the messy, complicated reality of human psychology and relationships. If characters always made perfect choices, we wouldn't have a story!
          
          This book is a deep dive into the aftermath of a massive mistake. It’s an exploration of forgiveness, boundaries, and whether love alone is actually enough to heal a relationship once trust has been shattered. The reality is that when infidelity happens, some people choose to walk away, while others choose to face the wreckage and try to rebuild.
          
          By showing characters navigating this storm, I am reflecting a very real, very complex human experience. The characters are going to make bad decisions, and they *will* face the heavy consequences of their actions. It is going to be a bumpy, emotional ride without any quick fixes.
          
          I completely respect if stories dealing with the fallout of cheating aren't your cup of tea. But for those of you sticking around to see how these characters grow and navigate the consequences, thank you for trusting me with this journey!
