I haven't long been on the writing scene and am still learning my craft. I've studied a lot of metaphysics and far eastern philosophy on my time and have been inspired by numerous authors like Dan Millman and Jostein Gardner.

            I've already got a book on Amazon by self publishing though it cost me a bomb to do (£2000). That was editing costs to iron out all grammar, spelling and punctuation errors and then converting it to Kindle and Paperback, getting a book cover designed and a big marketing campaign to top it off, all done through Publish Nation which offers self publishing services to writers.
            I'd you get your work published through a publisher, that won't cost you a penny as the publisher does it all through you.

@RomaizaIbad I know how you feel. And no I just love their clothing range. I saw it here and I was like waoh. 
            You should really go for being a writer too. I have recently published my work here and I am thinking of taking it to a publisher as soon as I am done but I am still not sure.

            I had a company that offers self publishing services do the work for me. I just submitted the manuscript and blurb and just paid them for editing and publishing it on the Internet. The company's name was Publish Nation. Of course, many people say it is quite straightforward to publish on Amazon. You just need to go to Amazon Kindle Publishing Direct and create an account with them and follow their steps to covert a manuscript from Word to their format. They do have quite a lot of free tools for designing book covers as well as promotional services to get your book out there to readers. You do have to set the price of the book and you get paid the royalties in US Dollars.
