@spamanthareads Thank you so much, truly! Hearing this makes all the work truly worth it. I find myself comparing myself to other writers frequently and sometimes it's hard not to feel frustrated with myself. I have to remind myself that I will only improve if I learn from others rather than dismiss my own abilities and think I'll never be able to get better. That's totally not true! And continuing to write (and read!) is the best way to get better. There's a vast improvement in my fic writing skills even over the months I've been writing for the fandom, and that primarily stems from just writing and reading as much as I can. 
            I think it's very easy to be hard on ourselves as any sort of creative, and I think writing fics for a fandom presents a new sort of obstacle--there will always be someone else writing fics about the same person or the same concept, so the urge to constantly compare ourselves is hard to fight. I think if we can compare ourselves in a healthy way, then it's all good, it's just a challenge. The fact that you look up to me as a writer and admire my craft is SUCH an honor and I would definitely encourage you to use that as a motivational tool rather than discourage yourself. 
            I have to often remind myself that we're all here to support one another and learn from each other, not tear ourselves down. <3

that’s so interesting..! your writing is so so heartfelt and i’d love to read some of your poems and other works, not just fan fiction haha. honestly, I somewhat envy the beautiful imagery you use in your writing. I can see the whole scene, I can see the characters movement, I can smell the scents... I don’t know how else to describe it other than just beautiful..! every time I read any of your writing, it somehow always makes me cry haha, the way you can gradually build up a relationship so elegantly, and how well you describe the beauties and hardships of being with someone is astonishing! you’re someone I guess you could say I look up to; I aspire to move someone with my work the way you do with many others! really, you’re such a great writer. I often find myself comparing my writing to yours and I just feel all icky because I feel like, in comparison to you, it’s just no good haha :) I have a a lot to work on, to learn, and to hopefully master... anyways thank you so much for everything you do, i’ll stop rambling on now haha, thanks for your time :)

@spamanthareads Ah! Well, thank you for stopping by! I honestly don't know if I have any specific inspirations. Chambers, obviously, took some inspiration from the poem "Triptych of the Heart," though the inspiration for the story initially came from a request I got on tumblr. 
            LFS & Honey Drip were both born out of daydreams, then I built the plot, the arc and the narrator as I went along. I don't outline or plan anything LOL I know what I want to happen in 5 minutes and I know what I want the ending to be--anything between that is a blank until I get to it! 
            But I am a pretty big reader, I also went to school for writing and am a poet, so I know I've gathered inspiration here and there over time and also have spent years working on the craft of writing. I think if one were to read my poetry, they'd see how my fic writing relates--I'm very focused on images and sensory experiences in both. 
            I've also always been drawn to literature which has the driving force of the human condition--what does this person want and why? What does their soul want? What's going on in their head? I think that intimacy is interesting and can really make us as the readers think about what we want, not just what this person in the story wants. 
            I've always loved poetry! I think it's in the genes--everyone on my dad's side is a writer or artist. He and I are both poets. I am very particular with it however, it's not often I find poetry I truly love. My favorite collection is For You by Hayden Carruth--that book is full of amazing imagery and really explores one's soul. I highly recommend it! 
            I could talk about this endlessly but I'm almost out of characters LOL thank you so much for asking!
