Aight, as you know, updates on As Sure as the Snow are slow going, and mainly because I was struggling with the previously posted chapter.  Recently, another fandom grabbed me by the throat, again, and I'm back in it, but rest assured, that while As Sure as the Snow is on hiatus, I'm still VERY much in the Barbie fandom and will be finishing it sometime in 2024.  As maybe some?  (but I may be crossing over my readership base with that of AO3) know, I cosplay in real life, and am working on an Island Princess dress, which is going to take precedence as soon as I get my fabric in.  My vocal lessons are also back in full swing, and I'm working very hard on the songs given to me. 
          
          Listen, I was given a Preminger blanket and mug for Christmas as a gag/not-so-gag gift and I use them daily.  I ain't leaving this fandom.  
          
          But I need to break from it so I can get back into it with all my talent and creativity so I don't burn out.  In 2023, I wrote apparently 150K words amongst all things written, and by the end of the year, I was really feeling that exhaustion.  I'm trying to work back up.  I might post one-off things, or art, what-have-you.  
          
          I'm sorry that there's going to be a hiatus.  But I'd rather refill my creative well and give you something good than push through and see where I lost steam and rushed things.  
          
          Anyway, I really love you all.   I hope you have a great 2024.

I've been working toward a goal of binding That Would be the Day (and eventually As Sure as the Snow) so I've been doing some edits.  You know, just stuff where I take out commas where they weren't needed or the wrong homophone.  
          
          and adding 1.5K words to the story.... 
          
          I'll probably have to update that one again, chapter by chapter.  Each chapter has a few added words overall, or little tweaks and changes.  Most notably, I've added more to the balcony sequence in the chapter Wondrous Things.  
          
          But question: would you want it updated closer to now?  Or once As Sure as the Snow is finished?  I'm going to work with my beta about adding certain extra things to the chapter Who Needs to Dream too, but I do want to see what she has say about that first.  But as of right now, the edits are complete.  I just don't fully know how Wattpad notifications work and I don't want to inundate people with "published chapter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5" notifs for each chapter I edit.  Ah, well, anyway.  Thanks for listening.  You're great.

It probably seems like I have a lot of updates, but really, after thought, I've edited Preminger's name back to Edouard.  If you read That Would be the Day before I edited it, you'd notice that it was originally that, but then I changed it.  Changing it back.  It's better.  
          
          anyway.  At least you all get two new chapters of As Sure as the Snow now though.

See, my main problem with writing episodically and updating as I write, is that I might write something in a later chapter that needs to be retconned in an earlier chapter.  I guess then just keep rereading my stories to get bonus content because I literally can't stop editing my works as I go.

FINALLY!  I have updated.  It's been a hot second, but I had to get it to my beta who does my proofreading and vibe checking because my beta is the best.  So yeah, it's  a Tuesday, not a Friday, but heck, I needed to get As Sure as the Snow Updated.  
          
          Also, there might be a collaboration with another Wattpad Author who *might* be writing a fanfic based in the same world with the same characters as That Would be the Day and As Sure as the Snow (aka the Barbie Cinematic Universe, but specifically my fanfics thereof.)  So, I guess be on the lookout for more content within the universe but a bit of a classic "Wattpad Spice" spin on things.

Aight remember when I said I said "most likely I'd update Sunday?"  Well I'm a liar.  But not intentionally so.  Just turns out that amusement parks make me unalived and today I spent the entire day wishing I hadn't ridden the Reptilian (a toboggan coaster.)  This means I'll either be a week behind and just post as normally on Friday OR we get two chapters on Friday.  have no clue what'll happen.  But it's fine.  This is fine.

We're looking at a late delivery on the next chapter of As Sure as the Snow.  Ya gorl was in the Emergency Room this week and will be going to a thing on Saturday.  If it's not updated tonight at the latest possible hour, it'll be uploaded either SUPER late Saturday but most likely Sunday.  Sorry fam!  But it's going to be updated.  I promise.

This is because it was updated first regularly on AO3 and then I remembered that OHP I GOTTA UPDATE WATTPAD.  so here we are.  The goal is to post a new chapter every Friday till the story is complete.  So.  Yeah.  it's happening.  And I let it happen.
