And for a story idea, you could do one that's over used but make it into your story, twist and twirl it like you'd do to your hair in a plait. Make it different, stand out, add your own ideas and don't copy the What's Hot list.
You could try:
- werewolf
- elf
- vampire
- superhero
- boy meets girl
- boy meets boy
- girl meets girl
- thrilling psychopath
- magic
And so on. All stories don't have to include romance. You could include it though and maybe add romance as a side offering, don't make it the main focus.
Or you can.
Just do whatever you like, and enjoy, think for a few days what you'll include in the first couple of chapters and start it out, do a beginning that'll draw readers like light does to moths.
And the rest will flow in.
Don't rush it! That's the one thing readers hate.
And also don't write down every darn detail of what your character does. You don't have to do it in first person you know.
