New chapter of Phillip out every day. Phillip's follow-up, Pip, which follows Caroline 12 years on, will hopefully be done by the time it's all out!

somenightsi

Ahh the nostalgia! Can’t wait to reread Phillip as you continue posting omg. I was 16 when I read it originally

BelleGwilly

@somenightsi was considering doing a follow-up with Caroline at 30 and jumped on here to see Phillip was strangely unpublished! Haven't been on here on ages. Fingers crossed I'll have the follow-up by the time everything's been reposted.

Great News Phillip's!
          I'VE FINALLY FINISHED YOU!!!
          (Does 50 victory laps)
I actually cannot believe it. I started writing Phillip 7 years ago and today I just wrote the last word. Sweet jesus.
At 55,000 words, you must be the longest bloody journal a kid with ADHD has ever written.

I must thank everybody who has voted and commented and motivated me to keep going. You have know idea how much one little comment motivates an amateur writer like me (well maybe you do, this is a writing platform after all) so thank you. Thank you so much. I couldn’t mean it any more.
In about a month or so I'm going to edit Phillip to bits. I know there are a millions of spelling errors so those will be the first to go. Then, I'm going to work Phillip into the best you you can possibly be so who knows what you'll look like after I'm done. Maybe we will have to call you Phillipa. HAH.
Anyway, I’m going to go outside or something. Whatever non writers do with their spare time.
          *Salutes*

@BelleGwilly I know this is late but...CONGRATS!!!!! That's so so huge!!!! *throw belated confetti for you so you can dance in it and remember the amazing accomplishment!* :-)

Thanks! And I know, 7 bloody years! 55,000 words isn't technically a whole novel but it's a whole complete story with out missing pieces which I've never managed to do. Secret War must be getting hefty! Especially being fantasy. My mystery/ thrillers get so big but have so many holes so actually having this complete feels like I've given birth and I am overwhelmed haha

@BelleGwilly Congrats, Belle! Jeez, seven years? I thought it was a task spending five years on Secret War. It must feel amazing to finally finish something you've stuck so long on. Congrats again! :)

Your book Phillip is really great and so emotionally stressing, honestly. I've had to put it down because of all the stuff that's happened to Caroline. The sad fact is, it's a reality for some people out there. But it's been a great read. You're an amazing author

BelleGwilly

Woah, thank you! I'm really glad you like it. Yes it is a sad fact and some people don't know where the line is. I guess I'm trying to show how confusing it can be for a victim of this kind of stuff. Hopefully that's coming across haha. Thanks for your message, it really means a lot .

Thanks so much for voting on Misalignment <3 I hope you're enjoying it!

mack-collette

I'm so glad! c: And honestly, that's originally how I planned Misalignment to be, but I guess it didn't turn out that way. But I totally agree, omg.

@panicking-- I love how it's written, so beautiful, I've never really read poetry like it except maybe Dante's inferno? Length and pace wise. Plus I've always considered gender such a strange social construct. Makes me want to write a story where the main characters gender isn't refereed to at all because gender really shouldn't matter.
