I just read your story "[Part III] The Greatest Disgrace in Marine History (One Piece)" the clash between Darren and Charlotte Oven was insane especially when Darren didn’t even get burned by the Heat Heat Fruit. Is his resistance to Oven’s flames tied to some hidden ability or is it just sheer Haki mastery?

Bellirys

@Hanasierrahan I can’t say for certain yet—the story is far from over. But one thing is clear: the stronger Darren becomes, the harder it will be for him to keep growing… every step forward will demand he walk on the knife’s edge between life (>-<) and death (x_x).

One thing you can count on: this fanfic will never run out of heart-pounding battles (o) (^^;) (>_)>.

@Bellirys Wow that explains so much Darren’s training history makes his resilience feel earned instead of just handed to him the idea of him building tolerance through Sakazuki’s brutal sparring really adds weight to his strength now. Do you think his body has a limit to what it can adapt to or will he just keep evolving with every battle?

@Hanasierrahan Darren’s adaptability and talent are truly remarkable. Every battle only pushes his body further, and at this point his resilience is almost on par with Big Mom’s natural defenses. Back in the North Blue, he served under Sakazuki and went through countless grueling training sessions with him. In fact, most of the scars Darren carries didn’t come from real fights, but from sparring with Sakazuki himself.

That constant exposure meant he gradually built a tolerance to the power of the Magma-Magma Fruit. On top of that, he’s also trained extensively with Seastone and even against Momonga, a Thunder Fruit user, which gave him a degree of resistance to both seastone restraints and lightning-based attacks.

All of these factors combined explain why Oven’s flames weren’t enough to break him. Hope that clears things up!

Sup, would you mind telling me where's the story originally from?

Bellirys

@R3ich3ru The original title is 海賊:海軍史上最大敗類. You can find it on several free Chinese sites if you search that name on Google. Hope that helps!

Not sure if you know, but there is someone putting out the same story as yours. Shiour_Tales1

@Ream311 Thanks for the heads-up! I looked around but couldn’t find it—do you have a link or maybe the title they’re using? That’d help a lot!
