I am someone who sees writing as a way to get my ideas to paper. I spend days, months sometimes even years dreaming up a story to tell to people, one that could work and actually be something amazing. I've tried multiple times too, but not to any great effect. 
The Wager series was originally supposed to be something of a challenge to a friend, who was boasting about his writing skills. I have people who then enjoyed my babble of words that could somehow be considered a story and they wanted more. So I gave them 3 more chapters. Then I lost interest, it was too tedious for me to write and I kept thinking ahead to the parts I wanted to write. Recently Ive regained my drive and I will do everything I can to at least finish the first book.
