Just a guy following the trail of his daydreams. Reading takes me places. Imagination is my passport. And writing... writing sets me free.
I have participated in multiple writing competitions back in my school days and I've won my fair share of prizes and certificates of recognition. I like to think that it shows how passionate I was about books and stories even as a kid.
Come to think of it, my first book that I read by myself at age 5 was Sleeping Beauty. It was a kid's book, but I read it so many times I could tell you all the lines. Fell in love with fairy tales right away. And then, I discovered Enid Blyton. Some of you probably know how much of a world she had created for young aspiring imaginatives like us. From pixies and dwarves to toys being up to mischief at night and travelling to fairylands above treetops. Through my childhood years, I'd spend hours every day just burying my nose in a book. And I don't regret it. I'm a huge adventure fantasy enthusiast :D
About my professional background:
I've also taught as an English teacher, as well as worked as a copywriter and ghostwriter. Now, I'm at a crossroads - finally starting up my two businesses with my friends. One is a travel writing website which is essentially a blog. The articles will be written in first-person and made to be as detailed and immersive as possible. It'll be like reading a novel instead of a catalogue. I believe that's that travel experiences are all about! My book, Charting Fables, is a symbolic reflection of my passion to travel and explore new things.
The other business is web design, which is meant to support/guide companies, small businesses or individuals on using WordPress. We discovered we had a knack for it as we were creating our travel website xD So yup, that's what I'll be busy on for a while so my frequency of posting may not be as often as before, but imagination is a form of travelling through your soul and I'd sooner give up on the world than on writing.
Peace!
