Hearing Saumya Ji's words, Moksha snapped out of her thoughts. She glanced subtly at Mrityunjay through her veil, feeling an unusual stir in her heart. Mrityunjay, sensing Moksha’s gaze, looked back at her. For a brief moment, their eyes met, and it felt as if time paused for both of them.

When Mrityunjay noticed Moksha looking at him, she quickly averted her gaze and turned to face the front. Her attention shifted to the idol of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati in the temple, a sight that captivated her. Momentarily, Moksha’s eyes were fixed on the idol. Regaining her composure, she picked up the lamp from the thali and began to light it before the deity.

Meanwhile, Mrityunjay’s gaze remained focused on Moksha. He couldn’t comprehend why his heart felt so drawn to her, refusing to look away.

As Moksha lit the lamp, Mrityunjay gently held her hand. This simple gesture ignited a strange restlessness in both their hearts. For the first time since their marriage, Moksha contemplated what it truly meant to be someone's wife. She realized her life was now intertwined with another’s, that she was a partner in someone’s joys and sorrows, and a daughter-in-law in someone’s family.

After lighting the lamp, both of them folded their hands in prayer before the deity, and everyone standing behind them also joined in, folding their hands in reverence.

This is just a glimpse of the upcoming chapter I’ll be uploading tomorrow after editing. It was meant to be a longer piece, but for now, enjoy this preview and reflect on it.
