No, I'm not dead, just very tired and busy. I've had a lot of major projects and soccer games the past few weeks. I'm really, really wanting to get back to judging the awards. I will. Thanksgiving Break is coming up. Once I get through the major papers and projects due before then, I will have more free time on my hands. College is rough, lol.

You know your brain is running thin on imagination when you start the writing of a short story at 8 PM and it takes you 5 and a half hours to write 11 pages and only then can call it a complete rough draft. It's due for tomorrow, or I guess today, but it's 2:10 AM right now and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get any sleep. I still have a 2-5 page paper to write for a different class and about 30-ish pages to read for another different class. Why do I do this to myself. I guess I didn't think the short story would take so long. Rookie mistake. I'm a junior, I should know better.

I have soccer game tomorrow, too, so hopefully I can get a nap in before the game.

@BibliophileSince2003 ayy, I haven't been getting sleep either. We probably need an intervention lol

Apparently... today is autobot day!

Here's to the amazing characters of the Transformers universe! Optimus Prime and Smokescreen (Transformers Prime) are my favorites, so a special "hurrah" for them. Fun fact... every "which cybertronian are you?" quiz I've ever taken usually suggests I'm most like Smokescreen. Do I believe it? Yes, yes I do. I am an ENFP, which supposedly matches him well. Plus, there's too many times I've watched Transformers Prime and thought "HA, that's so me" when Smokescreen does something stupid or goofy. He also dances at one point. During a serious investigation, no less. If you need an idea of what I'm like... just... watch Transformers Prime and get to know him.

@BibliophileSince2003 lol. We always need deeper enfp rep.

@afkopp Wow, that's so crazy! Us ENFP people find Smokescreen very relatable, absolutely. Ratchet is such a mood, and Bulkhead is a sweetheart.

@BibliophileSince2003 Lol, I am an ENFP, too, so I act like Smokescreen a lot. Ratchet from Prime has grown on me as an adult, though. As a kid, I liked Bulkhead the best.

Important update for my Emerald Award participants! I am halfway through the fantasy genre entries and am trying to get back into the swing of things; we are still without internet so I have to drive to campus (I live outside of campus) for internet, to complete assignments, play my soccer games, etc. That and the sudden flooding of our unfinished and finished basement is why there's been a delay, otherwise I would have announced the winners much sooner and moved on to the next genre. Thank y'all for your patience, I hope y'all see this. I would hate to get back into the swing of things but have an audience that is no longer invested.

Hi I was wondering if you were going to be doing any more story contests, similar to the Emerald Awards but with different genres for entries? I have an action/adventure story that I’m working on that could use the recognition.

BibliophileSince2003

@SeddieTails12 I'm just focusing on the Emerald Awards for right now; I'm still without internet so the judging has been a little delayed. Since action/adventure is more of a sub-genre, I didn't include it. However, there are spots available in sci-fi and dystopian, if your story takes place in one of those settings. If you don't know what that means, you can always look it up. Thanks for the question!

Started soccer after six years of not playing. I'm doing it for my society (typically known as sorority), and it's kicking my butt. Pulled something tonight, but we won, which is the important part. I better get over this soreness ASAP.
I feel healthy, though, which is a huge plus.

@BibliophileSince2003 Nice! I haven't played soccer in over six years either lol. I played defense, since I'm not good at sports

If I may offer some advice for the soreness, I actually follow this YouTube channel called Psychetruth. They have some great yoga and stretching videos as well as massage tutorials for soreness and aches. And great exercise videos for warming up and increasing flexibility too.

Just watched Transformers One today in theaters... wow, it was incredible. I'll say more on my Tumblr account (just like how I talked about the Bad Batch finale) later; just got home from work and have a very busy week ahead of me. Also have to finish a short story for college, and it's taking some time.

BibliophileSince2003

@Reading-Nova900 Absolutely, yes. I don't think they did the best job with promoting it, but I was pleasantly surprised. If you've seen other Transformers movies/shows, it will make for a greater emotional impact. The humor is so good, and a lot of it is outside the trailers. The fight scenes are clean, and the character development is top tier. And of course, Michael Bay is helping produce it and the legendary Brian Tyler (who does the Transformers Prime music) made the music that slightly hints at "old" Transformers music. Chris Hemsworth is the perfect younger Optimus. That's about all I can say without spoiling it to get people to watch it; I really hope they get enough money to make a sequel!
