So my mom is known for being a terrible parent who takes favorites, lets add one more to the list.
So i walk out of my room, and i see some honey barbecue chips on the tv stand next to me. My brother is in the middle of a call with his father, and I've eaten nothing all day. So i take the chips, and my mom walks into the bathroom. As I'm closing my door, my brother yells at me and runs full speed, TACKLING my door. I ask him tf he's on, and he says the chips are his. Now as far right-winged my mom's family is, shes a communist. No one owns anything. My LIMITED hotspot? Shared with my brother. His games? Shared with me (kek). My 250$ Nintendo switch i saved up for over the course of 8 months? Guess whay gets added to the community chest, kiddo. Back to our story. I say to him that nothing in this house is objectively anyone's, a true statement. He responds by taking the chip bag out of my hand. I respond by taking it back. He decides to try a new stratagen and claws my hand like he's some rabid fucking dog, (which is ironic because he treats everyone like a dog) which doesn't cut me but does hurt. I respond by pushing him off me, and closing and locking my door. Guess what he does next? If your answer was "attempt to break down the door like a zombie in an early 2000s movie" you win nothing, but you were right. So after waiting (kicking his ass immediately makes ME the bad guy here), my mom comes and sees him crying (apparently he suddenly forgot he can pick every lock in the house) and gets barely any explanation from him. She bangs on MY door and yells at me to unlock it. Now i won't divulge the entirety of it, this is long enough as is, but the gist is it was MY fault for taking the chips and not "de-escalating" the situation. Oh, and that call he was having? It was about him living here, which she still wants.
