Been made to understand that I should explain pulps as best I can-

Back in the day, the common man's entertainment was the Pulps. A multitude of Monthly Magazines that had stories in them. Generally, these stories were abt 6k words long, split into 4 chapters as evenly as possible, and printed on cheap, wood pulp paper, which made them extremely inexpensive. They were lurid, and often sensationalist. The goal was to make an entertaining story that was fun to read

It is this style of writing I idolize and emulate. My fave is Conan
