I just read Frozen Hearts an I loved it and i know in a few months it'll be 6 years old but have you considered doing a sequel following Chris and Emily??

Billycorn2002

@Thelittlecord no, that won't happen. Though I am writing a new fic with a friend rn that has some ships if you're interested. It's called Chasing Storms by Kit-Chat

Welp, my story is gonna take longer than expected (unfortunately, I am excited for it), so in the meantime, I am suggesting you go and read my friend @sincerely-sofie story!

TheFlipFlopped1

@Billycorn2002 well, at least it’ll turn out better bc of the extra time and effort put into it!

*clears throat* soon...

ChaosTheUltima

@Billycorn2002 Its either the previously mentioned (potential) sequel to "My Silent Fable" (which i beg of you, please make if that's not what it is.), or one of the also previously mentioned 2 projects in the works.

I need help developing the villain's sidekick: what are some tropes/evil minion characters that you like?

TheLucidSpectre

@Billycorn2002 A sidekick that's just as dangerous as the main villain in their own unique way always resonates with me. They posses their own aura and their own reasons for doing what they do, but fit in neatly with the main villain and their personality. Either that or completely insane lol.

@Billycorn2002 I always liked villain sidekick characters that don’t really have a choice. Like. They’re not necessarily evil, they don’t try to justify their actions, they don’t even really care about their actions, they just do it because they need money or the villain is blackmailing them or various other reasons. They don’t care who or what is hurt, they don’t even care if the villain gets hurt, they’re just doing this because they have to and really don’t want to be here. Yeah, it can be comedic, and usually it is, but if done right can also be used for a lot of really good story/character moments.

@Billycorn2002 ok so there are a few ways that I feel like could work. Let’s start with 3.

1: the minions themselves are incredibly tense and strict and menacing in combat and take this whole operation incredibly seriously. We are talking they will legit murder you for looking incorrectly and the boss is like “year whateves I guess you go”.

2: the minions themselves are also really laid back, like just not giving a shit but will do their job, they just pull up, do some damage and be like “oh yeah are evil boss yeah that I can’t say it was in my contract but I can direct you to our website support page for inquiries and meetings with higher ups”. Overall just lazy and normal people just low key chillin.

3: This one is the weirdest option but one where they all just love the boss romantically. It would be hard to write because now you have to give all the minions a good backstory each and write why they like her and if they will change their morals or not. This makes them a bit more 3 dimensional and interesting to the plot at the expense of them taking more time to write the story and fully flesh it out.
