I like to see myself as evocative storytelling and rich character development. My fiction work often explores themes of youth, self-discovery, and the intricacies of human relationships set against vivid, immersive backdrops.
I grew up in a small town, where the surrounding natural beauty and close-knit community heavily influenced my writing. This upbringing is reflected in the detailed settings and community dynamics that populate my stories.
My breakout article, "Summer Echoes," delves into campers' experiences at a summer camp and brought me some praise. I think 'Dead Kids Don't Leave Camp.' is a story that shows the complexities of love plunged into a toxic mass of murder surrounded by the beauty of rural, lakeside Maine.
On the flip side, I have also created non-fiction - engaging and easy-to-read books on the Roman Empire, such as 'How Often Do You Think About the Roman Empire' and 'Gladiator 2.0'. I love all the crazy BUT TRUE things those guys did in Italy and beyond.
My writing style is known for its lyrical prose, vivid descriptions, and ability to capture the subtleties of human interactions. I excel at creating relatable, multi-dimensional characters that resonate with readers.
