Well I’d say it depends, but is also normal.
Your body isn’t feeling well and neither is your mentality. Those who are sick are suffering from it.
When we are sick, our bodies are being under attack. Sickness creates reactions in our bodies. Fever, nausea, fatigue and pain are some of them. Among other things, like emotional sensitivity.
Brain is overwhelmed and exhausted, since it cannot function normally. This can show as emotional outbursts or lack of control in limbs, for example.
And I’m sorry but what kind of a mother is that? A parent should not say that. I think the first thing is find out the reason for the crying. Then act accordingly. Confront, reassurance, or something.
(Only possible reason for acting like that that I can think of is if parent is fed up and tired. But that is still the wrong answer to a crying child. )
