I just finished watching Élite yesterday and honestly I still can't get over Polo's death and the whole aftermath. My heart is literally broken and I'm SO angry cause they made him look like the villain of the story while in reality he was dealing with more issues than all of them combined plus the panick attacks. That wasn't enough for them, they all rejected him and outcast him like he was some kind of an empty bag with no feelings, but in fact he was living in constant pain and guilt. He was so good and vulnerable in his final moment, he was so sweet and caring, he always was there for his friends and loved ones.
Just IF someone has reached for him and took his hand and held it so tight so he would never slip away and lose his shining star. Just IF his best friend (Guzman) had forgiven him a bit earlier, it could be different now.
But unfortunately, that's what happens when we REFUSE TO LISTEN to someone's own perspective of the story, when we let our anger and wrath control our minds and make us forget that we did love that person, that maybe we still love them and we just need some time to start seeing that love all over again.
There are a lot of Polo out there in the world who live in pain because humans are so judgemental and short-sighted. We have to be kind with each other, otherwise we will just lose the ones who matters the most to us.
Once they're dead we can never take our hurtful words back.
Polo will be forever in my heart...
