@BlackOnyxD if my last comment was a bit too much I apologize.

I got carried away because I agreed with Emry, Skyler is in a way getting swayed by his feelings, not that's a bad thing that he choses to forgive Varynn, but still he can't sweep everything he went through under the rug and let Varynn believe he can get away acting this way and easily win Skyler back just because they are marked and pregnant.

He literally threw him away and picked him up. He doesn't realize the full length and depth of Skylar's pain and heartbreak and is still putting his own selfish desires and royal alpha pride above his mate's.

If Varynn really wants what's best for Skyler and their child, he needs to change into someone worthy of him and whom Skyler deserves.

It's just an observation and opinion as a reader, it's your story so it's up to you depending on what you have planned. But i still think you should consider Varynn's character arc and growth in terms of character and his relationship with Sky.

When will you update the next chapter? Also, I'm saying this not as a hater but as someone who is into good character development.

Maybe you shouldn't make Skylar forgive Varynn too easily not just because as to not to make Skylar's character look weak but also to make sure Varynn's "redemption" doesn't feel like it's based on dubious feelings, even of it's possibly due to pregnancy hormones and the mark.

No matter how he is trying now it doesn't excuse what he did in the past, even now he doesn't understand the full length of what he did to him

He acts as if he didn't whip him many times in front of many people in the ball room right after he crushed his hopes into pieces by throwing him away and getting engaged to someone else.

Mistakes control and selfishness for care and protection.

And keeps making the same mistakes he did before Skylar's escape like locking him up in a tower as if he's his property.

And not to mention that, if he really and truly didn't see Skylar as a toy or possession and prove he didn't just care about the baby aka his heir, he should at least considered breaking his engagement and relationship with Lysian before even considering making things up with Skylar.

If possible, you could make Lysian rub all these things into Varynn's face when his schemes are discovered in order to help him snap out of his craziness and delusional denial.

And don't forget the fact he hasn't even properly apologized for all the things he did to Skylar in the past and can't even be honest about how he feels.

For Varynn to truly start a better, and healthier, relationship with Skylar and have a redemption arc, these things should be considered, even if it's an omegaverse story.

I'm really worried the maid and Lysian might succeed in the miscarriage.

If that happens that will be the last straw for Sky and Emry, but it's hard to tell if they'll leave or choose "that", if the latter happens hopefully it will snap Varynn from his delusions.
