Hi! I’ve been reading your fanfic ( Shattered Constellations)  and I understand you say the cruelty is for storytelling purposes. I’m curious—why did you choose to portray so many countries as relentlessly cruel, mean-spirited, or abusive, with almost no moments of empathy or constructive communication? I feel like it makes the story really hard to read and emotionally exhausting. Was there a specific narrative purpose behind this level of cruelty?
