Because of the sudden shifts going on this account, I am just focusing on the books that I’m more invested in than other stories. That way, I feel it’s better to tackle what type of stories I want to tell than having an idea for a book, committing to a couple of chapters, and quitting. Especially when committing to multiple stories. It’s been a cycle from my old account. Now, the cycle hasn’t stopped. I understand finishing a book is important. I'm able to do that (ex: SOH - first draft) but it depends. And it doesn't help that "The Noble Anderson" and "Elina, Elina" are taking a while to finish after two years.
So this time, I’m really narrowing my focus on particular stories that catch my interest and am committed to writing. Some of the stories I have writer’s block for are stories that I feel are boring, lack ideas for the next chapter, or the story isn't pulling me in as I thought it did at first.
I feel after a while, if a story isn’t working or I’m not “feeling” the story anymore, I feel it’s okay to shelve it and come back to it later or…not return to the project again.
Also, a reason on why “Elina, Elina” hasn’t been taken down because the plot is strong enough to make me want to finish the book (despite the slow updates). And it’s been 2 years so I haven’t thought of taking down the book like that yet. Plus I’m invested in the main characters.
Anyway, stay tuned and thank you for understanding if you do.
