With the race changes in the Odyssey movie, I'm not particularly mad about them. Goddesses like Athena can appear in any form. So, I would rather judge what performance Zendaya will give. With Lupita as Helen of Troy, I can see the vision of what Nolan is going for. I'm not mad and don't mind it. I'll be honest, I do have disagreements when it comes to race-swapping if it's done in bad faith. And it's already a hot topic. In my opinion, we rarely see Black characters in fantasy spaces. So, the immediate race switches make sense. But at the same time, people shouldn't blame the actors but blame the casting directors, director, etc because I feel bad for Black actors who get slammed for taking a role, especially in a popular fantasy show/movie. One that's originally a white character. It's like the Snape (Harry Potter) situation but that's a whole other topic.

Regarding Lupita, I know she'll do good as Helen. Some people say they should only hire Greek actors, which is true. But most of the time, it's mainly British actors. The only issue is I didn't like how they let Tom Holland and Robert Pattinson do American accents. Literally, I was expecting at least to hear a British accent, but the minute they said "My Dad" or "Daddy," that took me out.

I know some people say the casting is full of A-listers, but honestly, it's a Nolan movie. But it is distracting ngl.

@Millany_Kelly_Green Yeah, from an American perspective, it's another Hollywood blockbuster where it's mostly just the action, score, and cinematography that'll stand out in the movie. And it depends on the story because it can be good or bad. I like hearing your perspective because since Hollywood messed up aspects of Ancient Greek stories in movie adaptations, it's an eyeopener as an American in learning more about Greek culture. I never read the Odyssey but that is something I want to check out in the future.

@Blue101Art I totally recommend you the Epics . They have broken the time barrier because they portray society and the human passion just like they are now. You won't regret it

@Blue101Art You have a point but the main problem is that NOBODY read the Odyssey like the original script and they ranted it all like the Odyssey was some chauvinistic manifesto. Women pull the strings in the actual Odyssey and because of women the war and all the subsequents happened. It's a big NO for me as a Greek that the actual script was not followed. Helen of Troy should be according to the Epic as much as everyone else portrayed in .

They should have at least translated the actual verses of the Odyssey into English and keep the poetic side of it intact.
Only one thing has no limits and that's the human stupidity and those Hollyweirdos committed hubris.

For the past few days, I've been in a Greek Mythology rabbit hole like never before. It started with a small brainstorm with a few ideas I had. It was a separate story connected to another Greek Mythology story.

I'm thinking of bringing back "Greek Gods: Lying & Mischief."

Before, this book was tough to write. I understand people take Greek Mythology to heart, and it is part of Greek culture. I struggled with writing it because I did not want to make any inaccuracies about what Ancient Greece was like. Which includes the Greek Gods, because you have to understand, mischaracterizing them is looked down upon. So, doing a lot of research on that back then was super difficult since I didn't want to mess it up. Like, I was only focused on writing a story about a queer man and his family being entangled with the gods. That's it. Literally, that's it. I only researched Ancient Greece to understand the culture and history to support the setting, including the lore behind the gods.

Now, I'm open to the idea of bringing this story back because I don't want to leave it in the dust. I only shelved it for 2-3 years since I wanted to focus on other things. But this time, I believe a good outline and strong brainstorming will definitely help narrow down the story because my first mistake was making the first book too broad with too many characters. So, I'm only going to limit it to a few gods and demigods with original characters in the ensemble. That way, I can break it down and focus on the ones that matter. With the myths, the timelines are all over the place. So, I'm only picking a few that fit the new "Lying & Mischief" story. All it boils down to is narrowing the story and keeping it small.

That's all I'll say. This story may come back here or be self-published (or queried). I don't want to make too many promises. I don't want to commit to too many books here and not finish them. So, we'll see.

@Millany_Kelly_Green I really thank you for being one of the best users I've met here. You are literally the sweetest person and wish all good things for you.

@Blue101Art Honestly I would read anything you write because just like the story you wrote about the ancient Greek Gods you do know how to serve an entertaining story as much as respecting the source material. You are one of the writers that i deeply appreciate on this platform and what is more ,i totally trust you.

After "Sasha of Halos" is done, I'm taking a break from the world and characters of the story. Like... I'm glad last summer was fantastic because I was able to get more chapters done super fast. Now, it's been slow.

I already have the outline written, but sticking to it has been tough because I feel some plot points were introduced way later in the story. So that's why after I'm finished with the break, I'm going to edit the whole book and combine chapters to fix the pacing, grammar, and structure of the story.

So, I decided I'll continue writing on Wattpad at least when the sequels to "Sasha of Halos" and "The Noble Anderson" are released. Book 2 of SOH will have 55 chapters (or more).

What about the other stories like the Elina revamp and "The Moment I Fell For Them"? I'll still write the books. The difference is they are standalones. For the Elina revamp, it is connected to "The Noble Anderson," and it makes sense after I dropped the previous ideas from the drafts. For "The Moment I Fell For Them," I'm keeping it as a standalone because it doesn't have to be a series. Personally, I enjoy romances (books and movies) as standalones more than a series because they can be really good or bad.

Note: The Noble Anderson is a romance but it just only needs a sequel to wrap up Cole and Angie's relationship.

As June is nearing its end, I wish I had gotten more writing done, but alas, I didn't. Overall, I'm planning to do most of it offline and try not to publish anything until most of it is done. So in the meantime, I've been making outlines for stories I'll write soon or revisit later. Besides that, I'm planning to redo my whole YouTube channel. Before, I had book trailers on it, but I took them down and am reworking the whole channel. So, I'm hoping this channel will be a mix of analysis on popular media, including some stuff on Wattpad. That's what I'll say for now.

Hey guys, I have updated most of my book covers. After using my real name as the author title for four years, I decided to remove it and use my username as the main title.

At the time, I wanted to display my real name to embrace the idea of being an author. Now, I have decided to save that for the future when officially published.
