@toomuchbutter The story is still going! Thank you for asking, and I’m really glad you enjoy reading it! :) I’m just in the “I write really slowly” territory now.
            
            I do have the general story points planned and know where I’m going, but there are a few parts that turned out to be harder to write than I expected.
            
            I also try to keep improving my writing as I go. I feel like chapters 1 to around 6-ish aren’t my best work… but I feel like I really found my footing later, and that also affects how I approach rewriting and continuing the story.

Chapter 19 Update: Writing Progress
          
          So… it’s taking me a lot longer than I anticipated, and finding time to write has been a struggle, which definitely hasn’t helped. If there isn’t an update in August, please be patient with me.
          
          Part of the delay is because I really wanted to pack a lot into this chapter. There are plenty of character interactions, some you might expect… and maybe a few surprises too.
          
          I know this isn’t the full chapter yet, but here’s a little tease:
          
          Suddenly, a hand clamped around Selene’s arm and yanked her violently off course. Her shoulder twisted with the sudden force, and before she could react, her back slammed into a nearby wall. She let out a short, scoffing breath through clenched teeth.
          “What the hell have you done?” snapped a familiar voice.
          Dazed for half a second, he blonde blinked hard. Her vision focused just in time to catch Caitlyn Kiramman’s furious expression. Her brow twitched upward and irritation surged fast. 
          A short, scoffing breath escaped her as her lips pulled into something between a smirk and a snarl. “Are you serious right now?” she muttered, tilting her head just slightly. “Is this, like, a foreplay thing? God, I swear… you and Vi—”
          “Vi is here?” Caitlyn’s grip faltered. Her voice cracked just slightly.

@dysplaced Thank you! That’s really sweet of you to ask. I try to write a little every day, as much as time allows. So far, I’ve already written about 70% of the next chapter, so I’m slowly but surely making progress.

Update: Chapter 16 is now posted! June has been a crazy month, so I don’t think I’ll be able to finish the next chapter before the month ends. In July, I’ll try to post at least two chapters. Also, the next chapter will probably be the last one with a happy, feel-good vibe.
