@BlueMoonLogic d'you know any aromantics who've had an 'alloromantic' phase? Like, ever heard of a straight phase? Well, I had both. I wrote a fanfic which I've not obliterated into my drafts and literally almost EVERY SINGLE PERSON was shipped with somone, no OCs, always even sideline-mentioned characters.
Sometimes, aromantics can be just as bad at aromantic representation as others... also because there's not really an option in some things- fanfiction doesn't have many characters that could be aro (though we still chant 'one of us' when we think there is an opportunity within headcanons), and (talking about here on wattpad), even stories such as adventure, with a plot that's not just romance, usually have romance, for the sake of character arcs or 'the mysterious hot dude' or something.
