I feel like that hivewings "Always have black scales from their common ancestor: Clearsight kinda proves my theory. It's thousands of years and several generations later, and NO hivewing, is missing black scales from their eternal matriarch? That's incredibly interesting considering Sunny doesn't have a black scale on her at all. And while Darkstalker has white scales, he has so few of them that there's no question he looks more like his mother than his father. Interesting.
