I miss my dog Molly... Almost 13 years together, and she's just gone. Three days before my birthday, she passed away from heart failure. I find no happiness this year at all; I feel completely empty. I don't even want to celebrate, but my family is doing so anyway. I miss her breathing down your neck for food and the intense feeling of her staring at you, despite how annoying it was. I miss her nails tapping on the floor, splitting treats into three instead of two, and her tripping you in doorways or having to watch wherever you walk because she always sat or lay in the least conventional spots. I miss her sitting at the supper table begging for food, I miss when I could take her for walks and she would be ripping my arm half off. I miss her covering her face with her paws as you talked to her in a sweet voice or sung to her along with stuffing her face into cushions like and ostrich. I miss when she would bark back when you were talking to her like it was a whole conversation... I was around seven or six when we got her, and I was the reason we even got her to begin with. She was my best friend, and now she's just gone. The whole house feels eerie, and I keep dissociating that this isn't real. I really thought losing four friends in three months wouldn't get worse, especially with the lack of sleep from the Valko boycott and losing the daily playing with lads. And I jinxed myself things always get worse.
