I'm going deaf and I'm horrified.
Hey friends. I know I haven't been posting alot lately and here's why.
I'll start about three months ago when I got some bad earacheing. I didn't think much of it at the time and just continued with my day. Thought maybe I need a brake from the headphones. So I did. The aching didn't stop and after a couple weeks of ignoring it I expected that I might have had an ear infection probably on both sides. It wasn't a big deal, I get them alot. Use some drops and allergy meds and move on. The pain got easier to manage and eventually I became sort of numb to it. I still felt the occasional jult in my ear but I just tended forget about it.
Fast forward two months, and I'm getting migranes, nasua, dizziness. I just reasoned it as allergies, sprinkled with seasonal depression. Jump up 3 weeks, everything is getting worse. The earacheing is back and a lot worse, the migraines are makeing the spinning in my head and the nausea worse.
Then comes the hearing loss. I started to notice it first when my math teacher got hard to her. Partly because she walked around the room and had a tendency to mumble. But it normally wasn't an issue.
Over two weeks there was a dramatic decrease in my hearing. I had to start reading lips and having people repeat themselves upto 4 times.
I went to the doctor. He said that the infection was causing almost all my issues.
They can treat the infection, but my dad and I can hardly afford the medicine so my mom is helping.
The infection caused permanent damage to my inner ear and my hearing. Helping with my infection can only slow down my already there hearing issues.
