So I'm currently in a pickle trying to find permanent housing after a thirty-day eviction notice, and my Grandma died so please accept some poetry I made a long time ago until I i have the time and spirit to continue writing RitG. Not sure if anyone will see this, but if you're reading, thank you. I'll be back to work on it sooner rather than later, it can be a good escape.

"1500 words a week is a lofty goal" I said as I proceeded to attempt that goal... Yeah, I'm going to once every two weeks permanently. It's easier to manage and I feel better about what I'm able to put out. So there wasn't a chapter this weekend, but there will be one next, etc. Surprisingly it was finding violin solos that made it too much . But there's a lot coming up in Rabbits in the Garden that I'm excited about so I don't see myself slowing down TOO much.

I set a goal for myself of one chapter a week, ~1500 words. I'm excited to continue this goal because when I don't have a goal I just don't write. However, this week was super busy due to other things, and I've decided it would be best to skip a week. The next chapters of both Sidekick Status: Pending and Rabbits in the Garden are halfway finished, and I'm probably even more anxious to get them out than anyone is in reading them haha. Which is to say, there's definitely plenty more story to come, I just need a day or so to get it all down on paper.

Again, I'm holding myself to this standard. A chapter a week is a lot for anyone and the reason I have such a lofty goal is that even when I don't achieve it, I've at least written SOMETHING.

So chapter 3 of Rabbits in the Garden, and possibly chapter 2 of Sidekick Status: Pending, will be out next weekend.

So I lost 30,000 words of Sidekick Status: Pending, which makes the second time this has happened with this story. I swear, this book is trying to haunt me. I love it all the same though, and I'm determined to make it even better the third time. However, the first few chapters were very old at this point, so I'm very rusty with my old style. I know this sounds like a tragedy, and believe me, it hurt. Especially since the last sentence it had saved was "Lucy allowed herself the luxury of sobbing". (It felt a little directed at me tbh.) But honestly I'm so happy to have the old shell of that story lifted off my back so I can look at it with fresh eyes, and make it new again.

Until I can confidently do that however, I'll be releasing a few chapters of my other book, Rabbits in the Garden, hopefully once a week. Once I can pick SS:P up again, I'll probably alternate weeks between the two.

(I would also like to make it clear that while Rabbits in the Garden is a romance, Sidekick Status: Pending is a young adult coming-of-age about friendship and found family. There are some romances, but they are a small part of a much bigger story, and are not the focus. Just wanted to say that so people don't get disappointed by either due to misunderstanding.)

          Thanks!
