I am from Goa, a Portuguese territory in India until 1961. 

Full of ambitions I decided to migrate to France in 1974. I knew that the life there would be difficult in the beginning, especially without any significant knowledge of the French language. But I was ready to sacrifice my comfortable life in family and fight my way up to success.

But the life that I discovered upon my arrival was beyond my expectations; harsher than I had ever imagined that it would be.

Back home I had gained the post of Assistant Lecturer in a post graduate college only at the age of 24. But that success was not enough to prove to myself my own values. I had to put myself to harder tests and see how high I could reach up the professional ladder.

I started my first job in France as an "Unqualified labor", at the bottom of the ladder, in a Parisian suburban factory.

With courage and determination I learnt the French language in a night school, while working in the factory during the daytime.

Over the years, I became a Technical writer in a Parisian Publishing house, passing through the jobs of mechanical draftsman, translator and proof-reader.

My hard work and perseverance brought me up to the post of Technical Publications Manager in a reputed aeronautics industry in France.

My capabilities did not go in-noticed in professional environment and I was soon offered the post of Project Manager in Saudi Arabia, in coordination with one of the highly reputed French Defense Industries.

I spent more than twenty years as Configuration Manager of Defense systems used by the Saudi Defense Forces, until I retired a couple of years ago and decided to spend the rest of my life in a small province of Bohol, in the Philippines.
