Surprised to see that the story is at #10 on the rankings despite me not having uploaded this year. 
          
          Ugh... really gotta get better with that, don't I?  Worry not, for I am halfway done with the next chapter. 
          
          Thanks for being patient, everyone. I'll try to work on it more as I also do the Alpha Test for Destiny Rising. Excited for it to be honest.

Also not me looking at the summary of a story and getting pissed off at it because there are so many things in it that contradict the lore of Destiny and how the things in that universe function.

Like I know I’m nitpicking and it’s fanfiction but like… it bothers me so much.

If you've kept up at all with the Hoyoverse Drama, then this won't need an explanation. 
          
          Simply put, if Genshin dies because of this, I'll wrap Light, Stasis, and Ice in a summary chapter. I have no intention on quitting it now, and am currently writing the next chapter. But if things go sideways, I won't be able to bring in new readers anymore.
          
          That's not me saying that I'm not grateful for the readers I already have. If anything, you all make this possible, and as much as I enjoy writing for myself, I also enjoy writing for others knowing they enjoy the world I'm attempting to reshape. 
          
          But considering how much traction this boycott is gonna get, and how Hoyoverse is most likely not going to do anything about it, Genshin as a property is going to die fast. 
          
          I'm glad I have other ideas in mind in terms of possible stories as a failsafe. 
          
          I'll say this again. I have no current intention of quitting the writing process of Light, Stasis, and Ice. But if the story stops getting reads because the property dies, then things will be different.

Quick side note. In retrospect, this game will probably not die. It has almost 60 million players monthly, so I'm not expecting it to drown in a river because 200,000 people on twitter stop buying things. And just fyi, I personally will stop supporting Hoyoverse monetarily. While I may not be a person of color, my mother's side of the family is from Central Mexico. It's just that my Scottish side is very prominent (Unless I go outside, then I tan almost instantly). Either way,  considering that Natlan seems inspired by both African and Mexico... this is really upsetting to see.
