I'm in love with this one boy named Patrick, he's still 8 (don't think weirdly, I love kids and I' not a pedophile) but he's smart af, he's timid and cautious around people but he warmed up quick! So today (19.9.2016) my school has a health and fitness checkup. We were basically put into groups; upper class, middle class and lower class joined together and divided into 10 groups or so.
Fast forward, I did all 5 or 6 posts and I went back to my learning centre to chill, but then I saw patrick sitting by himself as the other older boys in his group proceed to do sit ups and push ups, everyone has to do it to get a grade.
I went over to him and asked, "have you done push ups and sit ups?" And he kept silent, one of the boys (a papua born boy named papua ) said that he haven't.
So then I persuade him to do sit ups first, since it's easier. He sat on the mattres and I asked, "can you try laying down?" He did, but he bumped his head onto the floor. He then started to tear up.
Everyone was panicking so I did what I should, I pulled him into my lap and craddled him for 20 minutes until he calmed down, gave him chocolate and stuffs to help him calm down.
And it took him an extra 10 minutes for him to sit on the mattress again, and I'd have to put him on the mattress myself.
He ended up not wanting to do push ups nor sit ups, luckily my school's very considerate so he got average score with a note.
I brought him to his class (in the 2nd floor, my learning centre is in the 3rd). When we arrived, he suddenly cried again because he remembered the pain. And when his teacher tried to pry him off of me, he wouldn't budge and cling onto me.
I swear I melted that moment when he-the one that used to ignore me whenever I called him- finally stick onto me.
It was a great accomplishment.
Even one of the teachers that stood by said that I'm ready to become a mom
