Oh! I just came up with an idea for a Pokémon anime story.
What if Paul fell in love with a Pokémon?
I know it sounds strange considering who Paul is and some of the harsh things he did in the past. However, the anime showed that many of his Pokémon respected him and even appreciated his intense training methods.
But what if meeting a certain Pokémon completely changed him? Imagine if that Pokémon learned how to speak like a human. For the first time, Paul would be able to hear a Pokémon's thoughts and feelings directly. He might begin questioning everything he once believed about Pokémon battles and realize how poorly he treated some of his partners in the past.
He could start feeling guilty for seeing Pokémon as tools rather than friends and companions. Maybe this experience would help him mature and become more like his older brother. Or perhaps the change would leave him so stressed and uncertain that he would struggle to talk to other people.
I think it would be especially interesting if Paul traveled to Alola and met Ash again. Ash could notice how much Paul had changed and become curious about the Pokémon who influenced him so deeply not knowing that Bro likes furry’s now.Whether that Pokémon is a Mienshao or another species, it could lead to some really interesting character development and interactions, since Paul’s entire character is to be like US ( Real Pokémon Games players that only care about stats and EV’s. ), also… The Pokémon’s name could be Zhen
Also, also… I would like to see some harsh things like other Humans and Pokémon seeing Poképhilia as something disgusting, which would not really help in Paul’s case…
