Part 2:
Besides, I don't think teenagers should be reading that describe a woman's naked body and compare her to a wild animal when they're doing the do, nothing too graphic but still. I honestly would prefer not knowing that the english wosekeeper does it in the backyard, hidden between the trees at 3 am with the guy who delivers newspapers.
The story isn't even that interesting. To put it simple it's about a rich guy and his romantic life. He's called Carlos da Maia and lives in Lisbon with his grandpa, Afonso da Maia. I don't want to spoil it if anyone wants to read it in the future so I won't give a lot of details. The story starts with Carlos and Afonso moving to Lisbon from Santa Olávia (don't ask me to tell you where that is in the map 'cause I don't know either). The we travel back in time and the author tells the story of Afonso, his son Pedro and Carlos growing up. Then the author describes in detail Carlos' life during the 2 years he lived in Lisbon and his 2 lovers. Then one of my favourite characters die because why not (I really wanted to punch the author when it happened but he's dead so I can't *angry noises*). Keep in mind that I don't like most character so I have two favourites, two I like (I don’t know one of them that well though), several that I don't know that well, some that did bad things but are good peole so Idk what to think about them and some i absolutely despise. In the end Carlos and his BFF go on a 1 and a half year trip around the word, Carlos decides to live in Paris and there's a 10 year timeskip and Carlos visits Portugal. And that's it.
I know this is a lot and I'm sorry but I needed to write this somewhere. You don't even have to read all that but this was my way of letting out all the anger and frustration this book caused me.
Hope your okay and that you have a good day/night!
