There is this Comedian named  Simon Amstell who has a Netflix special called Set Free where he talks about being gay, rejection from his father, his father's religious views and coming to accept himself for he is rather than who other people wanted him to be.
            
            Even it a Comedy show it feels like a positive life lesson that he is sharing with others and he is really candid about the painful events in his life and how he learnt to make peace with all of it. Not gonna lie, I did cry some.

@BookyBookishBookNerd oh dear... In my humble opinion, the Bible is heavily edited by his cis-gendered male who can't handle the thought of another man wanting to be with them. After all, they were the ones who were educated back when they decided what holy books should be the Bible.
            
            Tbh I don't recall Jesus saying any nasty thing to other people, not even the whore he saved from being stoned. Beside we don't know the whole story of what happened to that lady. The only time I recall a negative speech is when he had a temper tantrum in the Synagogue that used the premise as a market.
            
            Anywho God made nature, we see same-sex love happening there all the time for those who care to look for it and he also made an insect that is female but carries an egg but has a penis....if memory serves the male carries the egg to term. Forget what they are called tho.
            
            I know it hurts to have a part of who you are rejected by your family but do your best to accept the negative things that happen even if not ok of them to do those things to you.  Finding acceptance for yourself and peace within your mind is the best thing you can achieve for yourself.
