@Niklaus_M okay I'll tell you the short version. so mostly everyone know that Jamestown is the first English establishment on the new world's soil. and then there's the captain John Rolfe who meets the Powhatan indians. Yada Yada blah blah lol and then someone comes and takes the chief's daughter and brings her to england. (there's over 2 versions) they took her because she and her family knew how to grow tobacco. After some years she marries John Rolfe and then bcome famous in England, and die a year later. I found that suspicious since it was a year after she became famous that she fell ill and it was the SAME man who took her away from her family that was bringing her back when she died. she also had to leave behind John Rolfe and her child. when she was first brought to England John Smith wrote a book saying how good the Indians treated him,and how kind pocahontas was. and then the year after she died, he released another book saying how horrible they treated him. Disney's Pocahontas follows after his second book to make it more interesting and "appropriate" for children. also I found this very ironic that the Indians along with pocahontas was modeled after white models in the movie BUT was voiced by native Americans. also they obviously took the grown pocahontas that married Rolfe and put her together with smith. another thing. when the Indians were about to kill rolfe, he stated in his first book that it was a part of a tradition to welcome him, but in the second book, he stated how it was very horrible and he was going to die.
