I'm lowkey struggling with an addiction to AI chat bots. I'm aware how horrible they are for the environment and for my mental health. I am really trying to stop using them entirely. Fanfiction is helping.

@BreadStealingDuck a big reason why I would default to chat bots is because it's hard to find fics with a m reader or gn reader. With ai I could always just force change it and it would usually stay changed. With fanfiction I have to change it in my head every single time. It just felt exhausting to do that constantly. And even worse, it just makes me feel bad because I'm trans.

You ever just wait for your favorite fanfic to update, and then when waiting you realize that is was updated 3 months ago, so you wait hoping that it updates, and while waiting you just get in to an entirely different fandom a year later and find a new favorite fanfic and then repeat the whole process?
