After a long stretch of inactivity (even though I have recently picked up writing stupid fanfictions) I've come back to make a controversial statement.
          	In the SGE fandom,,,,, 
          	Hophie has to be one of my least favorite ships.
          	Not because it IS the worst ship, because trust me, there are worse, but the way that most people in the fandom are in love with this ship and worship it (also some of the same people who will call Tagatha toxic, or doubt the chemistry between them are included in the Hophie shippers).
          	OTK Spoils (Do I still need to say spoilers for this book? It's been a bit) they really should not have been together. It's just been off from the very beginning.
          	Next an issue I don't have with Hophie itself, rather the shippers: so many Nicola haters. I know a lot of the people in this fandom were probably nerdy kids who read this series, and imo Nicola's character was kinda... relatable? It was for me at least. She's like an insufferable know it all but she isn't a bad person. Nicola being mildly annoying isn't a good reason to hate her. But when QFG first came I hated her because everybody else hated her, because she was with Hort. 
          	Hating a character just because they prevent your ship from happening is only a loss on your end.
          	As for Hophie, I know I'm kind of jumping around here, but Hort was creepily obsessed with her and he kinda acts like a "nice guy." Sophie lowkey manipulates him and treats him like trash. They're both better off without each other. OTK with a Hophie ending was pretty much just, with as much respect as possible to Soman, pandering to the fandom

@BreadsticksAndInk that’s a really good point. I personally ship hophie, but I shipped hicola all the way up until OTK. Then I think Sophie kinda got over her need for a ‘take over the world style’ guy in her life and that she can totally settle for a normal one. I love Nicola’s character, though!

alright so apparently some stuff went down like a month ago on the SGE website that made the RPs and the casting forum get deleted? im so confused dudes, this is why i should be more active on there

@BreadsticksAndInk the rp and fanfic forums are down for construction, I think they’re coming back after the revamp, but for now all rp and fanfics are in the handbook. As for open chat, it’s banned now, and anything unrelated to SGE (Hamilton fanfics etc) which I get, but people are saying there used to be an open chat forum, so they might be bringing that back. I hope this helps!

and the fanfics are down but i think most of the stuff got moved over to the handbook page? also a lot of people are talking about open chat which ive heard about before but havent been around long enough for open chat
